Akshay Kumar, ONLY Indian On Forbes 100 List Of World’s Highest-Paid Celebrities

Forbes is back with its list of Highest-Paid Celebrities. However, this year has seen an unlucky turn as far as India is concerned. Unlike last year, this year, Akshay Kumar is the only celebrity to find a place on the list. But his whopping 366 crores worth is leaving us mind-boggled.

In fact, he was ranked 33. In contrary, this year he has slipped by 19 positions as he ranks at 52nd spot.

Last year Akshay Kumar signed a deal with Amazon for series ‘The End.’ The deal was like a bonanza for our Khiladi who raked in whopping USD 10 million (75 crores) from it. In fact, Amazon’s VP of International Originals, James Farrell spoke to Forbes and opened up on it. “It’s about what people want to see. If they want to see Akshay Kumar in a multiseason, action-thriller, who am I to say watch this instead? It may not be cheap but it’s worth it,” he shared on signing our Khiladi for The End.

Apart from that, the actor has minted USD 13 million (around 100 crores) just from his 2 films – Bell Bottom and Bachchan Pandey. Clearly, Akshay Kumar is a minting machine and there’s no doubt to it. The actor’s dedication and hard work play a huge role in it. Moreover, Forbes even accepted that the slip in his position is also due to the coronavirus pandemic.
